Hospital Rock
Doctors Eli Todd and Theodore Wadsworth helped save more than half of our local community by performing smallpox variolations.
Snuggled in a deep part of Rattlesnake Mountain, the Todd-Wadsworth Smallpox Hospital was accessible to everyone in the Farmington and Plainville town area.
Hospital Rock was used as a meet-up place and a drop-off place for food, books, and hospital supplies. There are also many names that were carved into the rock.
